FAQs

How do I purchase a new warranty or renew my existing warranty?

Just call the number at the top of the page and we will be able to discuss a new policy or the renewal of an existing one.

Do you have to inspect my car?

For 99% of cases we do not need to inspect your car, providing it conforms to our usual terms and standards. For more information please download one of our policy guides and read the chapter entitled ‘Policy Summary’ as this will explain what types of vehicles we cover (which is most) and any exclusions that do apply.

What should I do if my car breaks down or starts to have problems?

Take your vehicle to the nearest garage or call us on 0845 8727 654 and we will let you know what to do next.

Can I use any garage?

You can, although we would always prefer you to use one of our approved garages. That way we know you’ll be getting excellent customer service and first class repairs. If you do use an alternative garage please make sure that they are VAT registered and have downloaded our Claims Form – linked from the banner to the right.

What about servicing – can I use any garage and who pays for servicing?

You must keep your vehicle up to date with the manufacturers schedule service guidelines. A failure to keep your service history up to date may see your policy become void. You will pay for your service and any repairs or replacement parts that fall under your warranty will be paid for by us. Just make sure that the garage is VAT registered and have downloaded a Claim Form and Policy booklet for the level of vehicle warranty that you have.

If I sell my vehicle, can I transfer the warranty?

Selling a car with a warranty on it can make the sales process easier as people like peace of mind. Warranty Assure allows you to transfer the cover to a new private owner, subject to our approval. If you choose to transfer the policy to a new owner the policy will not be subject to the statutory cancellation period.
